Introduction
Business is a major economic activity concerned with the production and sale of goods and services required by people. It starts with production and ends with consumption, encompassing industry, trade, and commerce. The necessity of supplying goods and services is fulfilled by different people engaged in various economic activities such as production, manufacturing, distribution, and exchange.
The roots of business activities can be traced back to ancient times when trading was the mainstay of the Indian economy. The Indian subcontinent was called 'Swaran Bhoomi and Swaran Deep' by foreign travellers, reflecting its immense prosperity generated by flourishing trade through land and maritime routes such as the Silk Route.
